Start your learningInsideOut provides training for NSW Health Clinicians in all Local Health Districts (LHD) and Speciality Networks (SN) to provide evidence-based treatments for eating disorders. This includes training workshops for: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy-Enhanced (CBTe), Family Based Treatment (FBT), Inpatient Management for Eating Disorders in paediatric and adult inpatient settings (IMED) and Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM). These workshops provide a comprehensive introduction to key treatment concepts. Tools and strategies for engaging clients will be presented using practical techniques, detailed demonstrations, clinical case material and group discussion. Pre-workshop material will also be provided detailing foundational eating disorder information. Advanced training opportunities for CBTe and FBT designed to address complex cases and comorbidities enables further upskilling and local support for clinicians.

Clinical supervision and reflective practice is essential when working with people with eating disorders, however, access to eating disorder specific reflective practice, clinical supervision, and support can be limited and inconsistent. InsideOut Institute are providing Eating Disorder Group Reflective Supervision for NSW Health Dietitians, with clinical supervisors who are highly experienced dietitians in the eating disorder space and have experience and training in clinical supervision and reflective practice.
View supervision flyerInsideOut coordinates online Case Based Learning sessions which are offered to NSW Health clinicians who attend training in CBTe, FBT, and SSCM, and are delivered on a monthly basis. These sessions are designed to provide follow-up support to clinicians in applying their knowledge of eating disorders to real-world clinical situations, and consolidate their learning of practical skills explored in the workshop. The sessions are conducted in a group format and are facilitated by experienced clinicians.
