This study aims to evaluate a screening tool designed to identify weight and shape concerns and disordered eating in young people. Findings from this study will help inform the development of improved screening and early identification practices for eating disorders in youth.
We are currently seeking adolescents aged 12-17 years who have experienced eating difficulties or have received a diagnosis of an eating disorder to participate in the study. Parent/guardian consent and adolescent assent are required.
Participation involves a single 20-30 minute online (telehealth) session with a trained provisional or clinical psychologist. During the session, participants will complete a brief questionnaire on weight and shape concerns and participate in a structured interview on eating habits and related experiences.
