Emotional, cognitive and behavioural Eating Attitudes in Australians

UNIVERSITY SUPERVISOR

CLOSING DATE

31 Jul 27

We are conducting a survey to understand the emotional and behavioural aspects of Australian adults’ eating habits. By participating, you’ll help us uncover patterns that can improve future research on eating habits and wellbeing.

Recruiting Study Details

We are looking for Australian adults of all genders aged between 18 and 35 years to participate of our survey. Those who consent to participate will complete six questionnaires about their own psychological states and eating habits. Moreover, we will encourage the respondents to send the survey link for their peers. All participation will be voluntary.

What is Involved

Have you ever thought about your relationship with your eating habits? What drives the choices you make every day? According to certain social psychology theories, our choices arise from an integrated system of emotions, cognitions (thoughts, beliefs, and internalised values), and behaviours. Exploring this system in the context of food can yield meaningful insights for developing care strategies and health-prevention approaches. However, no single instrument can fully capture this attitudinal system. Accordingly, this study presents a selection of psychometric scales/questionnaires designed to assess concepts related to people’s emotions, thoughts, and behaviours in relation to eating. We warmly invite you to participate and share your perspectives. Your input will help advance our understanding and contribute to healthier, more supportive approaches to eating and wellbeing.
