For Me Trial: Evaluating a personalised package of care for young people with anorexia nervosa and their carers

This trial will develop and evaluate a personalised package of care for young people with anorexia nervosa aged 14-25 through co-production with individuals and families, with treatment tailored based on regular clinical and psychometric review.

Aims
The For Me clinical trial aims to develop a personalised package of care for young people with anorexia nervosa (AN) using co-production. The treatment will be tailored to the person and their carer/s based on regular review of psychometric and clinical assessments. Using an innovative N-of-1 design, the trial will assess treatment effectiveness, feasibility, and acceptability to establish an alternative therapeutic approach for this population.

Background
There is an urgent need for novel therapies to be developed to treat AN. This highly-supported and individualised approach represents an alternative therapeutic offering for people with AN and is expected to extend our understanding of using individualised treatments among this population. Participants will be enrolled in the Holistic Understanding study alongside the For Me clinical trial.
