ACT Eating Disorders Clinical Hub

Community Clinic or Program

About

The central referral point for public eating disorder services in the ACT. The service accepts referrals from anyone within the ACT who is concerned about themselves or another person with an eating disorder or disordered eating behaviour. Once a referral is received, the Clinical Hub will undertake a detailed intake, triage, and assessment process to determine the best care pathway. The Clinical Hub provides a Short Term Recovery Intervention for Disordered Eating (STRIDE) Program (offering short-term cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) of up to 10 sessions to eligible individuals for their eating disorder or disordered eating behaviour), and a Parenting Group (to families/carers within the ACT who are caring for a loved one under the age of 18 with an eating disorder or disordered eating behaviour, and who have been recommended to this service). The Clinical Hub can also provide referral to the Eating Disorders Program (a specialist outpatient therapy service working with individuals and their families whose primary presenting issue is an eating disorder). The Clinical Hub also provide advice, support and training for people and clinicians working with people with eating disorders.
