Providing Care in the Community for People with Eating Disorders – A Specialist Insight into Engagement and Treatment

This webinar is facilitated by Dr. Jan Orman (GP and Psychotherapist) in collaboration with a panel of individuals including: Nicole Gibson (a recovered eating disorder patient), Dr. Karen Spielman (GP), and Dr. Steve Lyon (regional GP).

This webinar provides a general overview of eating disorders, and additionally, through panel discussion, provides information on identification, screening and assessment of people at risk of developing eating disorders in a primary care setting. Furthermore the panel identifies challenges in treatment and discusses effective, collaborative strategies that support the needs of people with eating disorders and their families. This webinar also address care planning and appropriate referral pathways to coordinate better services for people with eating disorders.
