Clinical
Cathy is a senior psychologist with 25 years’ experience, specialising in eating disorders. She brings a strengths‑based approach and extensive experience delivering evidence‑based interventions across hospital and community settings, working with young people, adults, families, carers, and groups.
Cathy has held senior clinical roles within NSW Health, including positions in specialist eating disorder services and as Eating Disorder Coordinator for the Illawarra/South Eastern Sydney Area Health Service and the Illawarra/Shoalhaven Local Health District.
Her work spans clinical practice, workforce development, service development, and professional education. Cathy has taught and trained health professionals in the identification, assessment, and treatment of eating disorders and has contributed to tertiary education at the University of Wollongong, the University of Sydney, and Nan Tien Institute.
Cathy operated a private practice for five years and is a Credentialled Eating Disorder Clinician (ANZAED) and a Psychology Board‑approved supervisor. She has contributed to national credentialling initiatives for eating disorder practitioners and continues to supervise psychologists working in eating disorder care. Cathy is currently part of the Clinical Team at Inside Out Institute, where she is committed to advancing access to care and strengthening clinician confidence and competence.
