Ashley Shepherd is a proud Wiradjuri woman, Social Work researcher, and PhD candidate dedicated to supporting the social, emotional, and psychological wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. She currently works as a Research Assistant in the First Nations stream at the Australian Eating Disorders Research and Translation Centre.
Ashley brings a strong background in both community and government sectors, with a focus on culturally safe, strengths-based approaches to mental health and wellbeing. Her work is grounded in community-led research and guided by a commitment to healing, equity, and Aboriginal ways of knowing, being and doing.
