Psychologist
Veena completed her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at Massey University in New Zealand. Veena has worked in Australia and New Zealand and has experience in private practice and community mental health settings.
Veena works primarily with adults 18-65 years. Her experience and areas of interest include anxiety, depression, PTSD and complex trauma, perfectionism, eating disorders, body image concerns, stress and burnout, adjustment to life changes, grief and loss.
Veena draws on different evidence-based treatments to work with each person in the most effective way. Her main approach in working with eating disorders is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Enhanced (CBT-E). She focuses on what each person would like to achieve in therapy, setting individual goals, and using a collaborative approach to best suit their needs. She acknowledges that you may be at a certain stage in your journey towards healing and health, and she aims to meet you where you are at.
