I help adults and adolescents with eating disorder recovery from body-image-related eating disorders and avoidant / restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). I support my clients in a one-to-one private practice setting, with behaviour change that helps them re-connect with food and eating in the face of the distress that food can cause.
I hold accreditations as both an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician, which means I can critique nutrition research and apply useful therapies to guide my clients into cognitive and behavioural changes that help improve their relationship with food.
My treatments occur collaboratively using talking therapies and medical nutrition therapy whereby I support clients with nutritional rehabilitation. My clients build their confidence to eat enough food to resolve the many functional impairments in their life created by semi-starvation. My clients are also able to approach exposures to challenging foods that builds their confidence to eat without fear or guilt in different social settings. Ultimately, my clients can pursue the ability to decide for themselves what to eat and how much to eat, by becoming more confident in their own intuitive eating skills.
My clinic runs on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
