About

We know it is hard to find eating disorder care for yourself or someone you care for. If you are a person with an eating disorder, it is frightening to think about recovery. If you are a carer or family member, you may need to push and persist to get care for a person you think has an eating disorder. If you are a health professional, you need to act early, and not watch and wait if you suspect an eating disorder. The Statewide Eating Disorder Service (SEDS) is here to help. SEDS is a specialised mental health service for all South Australians. We provide assessment, care and information for people living with an eating disorder, or where an eating disorder may be developing. We can help professionals, family and carers looking after people with an eating disorder. Professional practitioners available include a psychologist, dietitian, registered nurse and a psychiatrist.
