Psychologist
At Illuminate Psychology Perth, we specialise in supporting adolescents and adults with eating disorders. Our psychologists are experienced and skilled in working with clients to address issues with food, shape and weight anywhere from disordered eating, to formally diagnosed eating disorders, body image concerns, as well as a broad range of mental health issues. As a Health At Every Size (HAES) focused practice, we use a non-dieting approach to support clients to understand their relationship with food and their body. We also support clients experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and personality disorders.
We focus on providing a collaborative, person centred, evidence based and informed therapeutic approach to each client. We utilise treatment modalities such as Family Based Therapy (FBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT & CBT-E), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
