Counsellor

About

I am a physiotherapist and professional counsellor with lived experience of anorexia, EDNOS and binge-eating in my teen and early adult years. I am passionate about helping individuals recover from these problems because I know what it is to lose time, health and hope in this space. I founded Women Worth their Weight in 1998 to support individuals struggling with disordered eating and have redeveloped this into an online recovery support program. I host the Illuminating Anorexia, Eating, Self & Body Issues podcast, and am the author of _Illuminating Anorexia - a self worth living for and Illuminating Eating Recovery. I take a whole person, whole health approach to these issues and you can find out more about how I work at michellesparkes.com
