Michelle Sparkes is a credentialed eating disorder clinician, counsellor and physiotherapist with lived experience of anorexia, EDNOS and binge-eating in her teen and early adult years. Michelle is passionate about helping individuals recover from the grip of disordered eating because she knows first-hand what it is to lose time, health and hope in this space and she knows what it takes to get free from these debilitating concerns. Michelle founded Women Worth their Weight in 1998 and has been helping women (aged 16 years and older) recover their health, self and body esteem for over 25 years. She is the author of various books and programs (Illuminating Anorexia, Illuminating Eating Disorder Recovery, Women Worth their Weight (now the 4x4 Freedom Express) and she hosts the Illuminating Anorexia and Eating Disorder Recovery Podcast.
