Louise Kelly is a registered psychologist based in Alderley, Brisbane, offering specialised support for people experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating. With ANZAED credentials, Louise provides evidence-based therapy for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, disordered eating patterns, and body image concerns — recognising that these experiences are complex, deeply personal, and often intertwined with identity, emotion, and relationships.
Louise works with adolescents and adults across a range of backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. She brings a warm, non-judgmental approach that meets each person where they are, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing to support meaningful and sustainable change. Rather than focusing solely on eating behaviours, therapy addresses the thoughts, feelings, and values that shape a person's relationship with food and their body.
Sessions are available face-to-face in Alderley and via Skype/telehealth, making support accessible whether you're local to Brisbane or elsewhere. Medicare rebates are available through a GP Mental Health Care Plan, and private health insurance may also apply — reducing the cost of getting the help you deserve.
If you or someone you care about is struggling with eating or body image, reaching out is a meaningful first step. Louise offers a safe, confidential space to begin that conversation.
