I'm Lauren, a proud Yorta Yorta and Boonwurrung clinician, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Medicare provider and ANZAED Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician. I practise privately through Body Belonging Clinic in Nedlands, Perth, with telehealth available across Australia. I bring more than 15 years' experience in the eating disorder field across hospital, private practice, peer-led, research and community settings, including eating disorder clinician roles at the Royal Children's Hospital Victoria and Monash Health. My work is primarily informed by CBT-E and formulation-led practice. I support children, adolescents and adults, including people experiencing eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, restrictive eating, binge eating, purging, compensatory behaviours and ARFID presentations. For younger clients, treatment may include parent, carer, kin or chosen-support involvement where clinically appropriate. Body Belonging Clinic is culturally safe, LGBTQIA+ affirming, trans-affirming, neurodivergence-affirming, size-inclusive and weight stigma-aware. I have particular interest in the intersections between eating disorders, trauma, neurodivergence, gender, sexuality, culture, family and systems. Therapy is practical, relational and collaborative, drawing on CBT-E, trauma-informed, somatic, schema-informed, narrative, creative and play-based approaches. Where needed, I work with families, carers, kin, GPs, dietitians and other treating professionals to support safe, coordinated care.
