Laura Gorrie

I am committed to providing compassionate, genuine care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. In particular, I am skilled in identifying and treating eating and body image concerns, taking a holistic approach to help individuals understand their experiences, selves, and strengths, and move toward a more fulfilling life. I am an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society, have trained in eating disorder-specific therapies (CBT-E, CBT-GSH) and have completed two theses on disordered eating. I also draw on Cognitive Behavioural, Acceptance and Commitment, Narrative, Psychodynamic, and Schema Therapies in my practice, tailoring treatment to each person I see, and ensuring a safe, supportive, and understanding therapeutic environment.
