I am passionate about supporting clients with their challenges around food to help heal their relationship with their food and their body. When working with clients, I support eating for well-being and encourage flexible eating based on hunger, satiety, nutritional needs and pleasure. I practice through a Health at Every Size® lens and am an advocate for inclusive and equal healthcare for people of all shapes and sizes.
I have a particular interest in working alongside individuals with mental health disorders and understand the importance and challenges around nutrition. Mental health disorders are not a cry for attention or a lifestyle choice. They do not discriminate and can affect all genders, ages and cultural backgrounds. Alongside my private practice work, I also works part-time in one of Brisbane’s largest public hospitals on a specialist mental health and eating disorders unit. I also actively contribute to statewide mental health and eating disorder groups.
