Dietitian
Kate has a warm, client-centred and trauma informed approach. She understands how hard it can be to reach out for professional support and works hard to create a warm and comfortable environment during sessions, but isn’t afraid of having a good chuckle with her clients. Kate can support you with eating disorder recovery (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, OSFED and ARFID), intuitive eating (embracing body cues, such as hunger and fullness), overcoming disordered eating, gastrointestinal symptom management (bloating, constipation, abdominal pain, nausea, poor appetite), and finding a peaceful relationship with your body. She is a LGBTIQA+ friendly dietitian and has a neurodiversity affirming care approach. Kate is passionate about supporting and supervising dietitians in the eating disorder and disordered eating space. She aims to create a safe and judgement-free space for clinicians in order to support their practice and to allow them to feel more connected in this space. Kate approaches each supervision session with curiosity, and encourage a space for reflection, respect, compassion and growth. She has undertaken formal supervision training through the Queensland Eating Disorder Service (QuEDS) and Cunningham Centre, and is a facilitator as part of the QuEDS facilitator peer supervision program.
