Julie uses trauma-informed and relational approaches to treating eating disorders in adolescents, adults and their families. Lewisia offers research-based and relational focused counselling and psychotherapy services to families and individuals in a safe and validating environment. Julie is currently clinically supervised by numerous experienced psychologists who have been working with eating disorder presentations for more than 10 years. Julie aims to provide professional and high-quality clinical care to individuals and their families struggling with eating disorders using various evidence-based therapeutic approaches including CBT-E, DBT, trauma focused ACT and family therapy. Julie can also provide counselling and psychotherapy as well as psychological care to CALD populations, especially individuals identifying as Asians.
Lewisia also provides compassionate counselling and psychotherapeutic care to women and families who have been impacted by stressors such as domestic violence, abuse, trauma and immigration. Lewisia however is not a crisis intervention service and therefore is unable to provide emergency counselling services. Lewisia values collaborative treatment of eating disorders and is open to working together with other professionals like doctors, nurses, dietitian and social workers to provide individualised clinical care to clients.
