Guil's PhD research focused on complex and treatment-resistant eating disorders, and he maintains a strong passion in helping those afflicted by intense or long-standing eating disorders.
Guil does not shy away from difficult presentations. Whether you struggle with complex trauma, depression, or anxiety (or any other issue) as part of your eating disorder struggle, you will be welcomed to his practice with a sense of respect and reverence.
Guil has concluded formal training in both cognitive-behavioural therapy-enhanced (CBT-E) and family-based therapy (FBT) for eating disorders. He has extensive experience in treating adolescents and adults with eating disorders in individual-, family- and group therapy settings. He follows a client-centered approach, and meets you where you are in your recovery journey.
