Dr Emma Spiel

I have 15 years experience working in the field of eating disorders. I came to this work through my own lived experience of recovery from an eating disorder. This led me to study psychology, then engage in body image research, and to then work directly with people experiencing eating disorders as a psychologist. I have been engaged in this work ever since. Over time, I have developed skills and experience that allow me to offer training, supervision, and service and workforce development consultation to individuals, groups and services seeking to build their skills and confidence to provide care that is safe, effective, and sustainable. I offer my services online via telehealth. Group supervision and service consultation sessions may be conducted in-person within Melbourne upon request.
