Non-Diet Dietitian Intuitive Eating Counsellor
Daniela is an experienced Accredited practising dietitian (APD), Intuitive eating counsellor and certified eating disorders clinician (CEDC) with over a decade working with adolescents and adults, guiding them to connect with their bodies and find their own food identity.
Daniela works with The Non-Diet Approach, which respects that the body holds a lot of wisdom regarding food, eating, nutrition, movement, rest, and weight. It is a gentle approach focusing on reconnection, individual experience, and skill building.
Unlike the traditional dieting approach that’s only concerned about physical health, it considers all aspects of health- mental, emotional, spiritual, and financial in addition to physical.
I provide a safe and non-judgemental space to support clients in navigating through life challenges, feeling calm and equipped to make choices from a place of self-care and respect for the body they have now. I specialise in supporting individuals and families to build a healthy relationship with food while building the foundations for a healthy body and mind through food.
I offer individual counselling to children, adolescents and adults with selective eating, sensory issues, disordered eating, eating disorders, IBS, sports nutrition, and other food challenges to find out how to connect with your intuitive self and give your body what is best for YOU.
I'm trained in the SOS Approach to fussy and problem-feeding issues in children, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and family-based therapy (FBT).
