Psychologist
Christie is a registered Clinical Psychologist and Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor. She has over 15 years of experience in working with individuals and groups across a variety of treatment settings. She has worked across Melbourne and Geelong in areas including private practice, schools and within mental health hospitals supporting clients across both inpatient and day programs, and with Eating Disorders Victoria and Gidget Foundation. Christie has held both clinical and senior leadership roles assisting in clinical program development and delivery, supervising teams and is experienced in assisting clients to find a therapeutic approach to best meet their recovery needs. She employs evidence based practice, and works from an empathic and supportive framework to support clients in meeting their goals. She is trained in several therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E), Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), positive psychology, brief solution focussed therapy and Mindfulness based therapies. She is also an accredited consultant with Meditation Australia.
