Chelsea is a warm, caring and compassionate psychologist whose clinical practice is guided by establishing a collaborative and dedicated approach to the achievement of positive change.
As a psychologist in clinical practice, Chelsea adopts a neurodiversity-affirming approach and views neurodiversity as a natural variation within the human brain. Chelsea’s postgraduate research investigated the impact of body image on overall well-being for individuals up to 18 years of age. Chelsea works collaboratively with her clients to explore their therapeutic goals early on in therapy, adopting a client-centered approach to meet the clients’ identified goals and needs. Chelsea’s practice is informed by a range of evidence-based approaches, in particular drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Mindfulness Meditation to achieve positive results for her clients.
Chelsea more recently has completed the Family Based Therapy (FBT) Approach for Eating Disorders, as part of becoming a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician.
