Alicia Beccaria

I am a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar based in Toowoomba, Queensland, with a special interest in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders across adolescence and adulthood. As an ANZAED Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician – Mental Health (CEDC-MH), I provide evidence-based psychological treatment for individuals experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating, while also supporting co-occurring presentations including anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, and mood disorders.

I completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and Master of Clinical Psychology at Griffith University and am a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS).

I work closely with general practitioners, psychiatrists, dietitians, paediatricians, and other health professionals to provide coordinated, recovery-oriented care. Where appropriate, I also involve families, carers, and other support people to strengthen treatment outcomes and promote long-term recovery.

My professional experience spans specialist eating disorder services, community mental health, inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, non-government organisations, psychological research, and private practice. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families across a broad range of mental health presentations, with a particular passion for supporting individuals experiencing eating disorders and complex comorbidities.

I welcome referrals for adolescents and adults experiencing eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and related mental health difficulties.
