Webinar: Introduction to REVIBE: Managing Digestive Concerns in Eating Disorders

Webinar: Introduction to REVIBE: Managing Digestive Concerns in Eating Disorders

Last Reviewed: 30 Jul 2025

About this Webinar:

Up to 97% of individuals with an eating disorder also experience a disorder of gut-brain interaction (DGBI). Gastrointestinal issues can worsen disordered eating behaviours, and malnutrition or food restriction can contribute to further digestive problems. It is now well understood that gastrointestinal disturbances can continue even after eating disorder behaviours have been resolved and nutritional status has improved. This webinar will introduce the REVIBE protocol—an evidence-informed, eating disorder-aware approach designed to manage DGBIs. You’ll learn about a step-by-step, low-risk framework that helps clinicians support nutritional management for clients with digestive concerns, promoting symptom control without relying on strict elimination diets.

Presented By: Elissa Robins, APD

Elissa Robins is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) with 22 years of experience in hospital and private practice settings. Elissa ran Inner Health Nutrition for several years where she specialised in gastroenterology and eating disorders. In 2023, she shifted her focus to mentoring, clinical supervision, and training dietitians specialising in digestive health and eating disorders. Drawing on her extensive gastroenterology experience, Elissa developed the REVIBE protocol to help dietitians manage digestive disorders without relying on strict dietary eliminations. To date, Elissa has mentored and trained over 100 dietitians, in Australia and internationally, in successfully implementing REVIBE in their practice.
