This webinar will examine the science behind weight and health, critically evaluating the evidence base that challenges weight-centric assumptions. We will explore the complex relationship between weight, health behaviours and health outcomes, the physiological and psychological effects of weight stigma, and the limitations of traditional weight-focused interventions. Drawing on empirical research and bioethical principles, we will discuss alternative frameworks that prioritize health and well-being beyond weight, including weight-inclusive and patient-centered care models.
