Our body’s Metabolism is poorly understood – especially when complicated with an eating disorder. Prof Caterson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this topic. Clinicians working in a medical or mental health setting will benefit from a fuller understanding of the changes to metabolism with eating disorders and starvation to enable safe and effective care.
Professor Emeritus Ian Caterson, Boden Professor of Human Nutrition, School of Life and Environmental Sciences Ian Caterson is an Endocrinologist who trained in metabolism and biochemistry. He is the Statewide Medical Lead for Eating Disorders in Adults and has many years experience in the medical care of this group of patients.
