Guided Self-Help Training for Health Professionals

Last Reviewed: 08 Oct 2026

The GSH Training has been developed to support health professionals to deliver the Guided Self-Help (BEeT-GSH) version of the BEeT (Binge Eating eTherapy) program. The training teaches clinicians how to guide clients through to complete the free cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based eTherapy available on the InsideOut eClinic platform.

GSH combines a structured self-directed treatment program with guidance from a health professional. Research suggests that clinician guidance can improve engagement and treatment outcomes, and many people completing online self-help programs value having this additional support throughout treatment.

Through the free Health Professionals Hub, you will gain access to free training, client progress monitoring tools, questionnaire results, self-monitoring data collected through the Toolbox, and practical resources to support the delivery of the eTherapies. The training covers how the BEeT-GSH program works, who it is suitable for, how to guide clients through treatment, monitor progress, and support engagement.

No specialist eating disorder expertise is required, making this training suitable for a broad range of health professionals. To access the free training and Health Professionals Hub, simply create a free eClinic account using your AHPRA registration number (or equivalent professional registration body).
