About the research trial

This research study is looking into the effect of brief, online, supported self-help program based on cognitive behavioural therapy on symptoms of Bulimia Nervosa and Binge-Eating Disorder or subthreshold Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder for clients of headspace and Head to Health Services. 

The program has been developed by eating disorder researchers and specialists to help treat people with symptoms of binge eating, aged 12 years and over.

You may be eligible* if you are: 

  • Currently engaged with a headspace or Head to Health service.
  • 12 years and over
  • Currently experiencing binge eating and/or compensatory behaviours (e.g. purge, restrict, excessive exercise, laxatives/diuretics)
  • Able to read and converse in English 
  • Able to access to a digital device and the internet
  • Medically stable. 
  • Are not currently engaged in other active psychological treatment for an eating disorder
  • Are not taking stimulant medications 

*Eligibility subject to a screening phone call and GP check
