The Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDE-Q) is a standardised self-report tool used to assess eating disorder symptoms. Developed by Fairburn & Beglin (2008), it's based on the widely used clinician-administered Eating Disorder Examination (EDE).

No. The EDE-Q does not assess for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), Pica, or Rumination Disorder. These conditions were more recently added to the DSM-5, and dedicated tools are still in development.
