The multidisciplinary eating disorder outpatient team consists of frontline mental health and dietetics clinicians and offers an accessible outpatient assessment, care coordination and treatment service to adult (>16 years) residents of SVHNS with an eating disorder who are unable to access other eating disorder services in the community.
The service accepts referrals from anyone within the SVHNS mental health catchment. All suitable referrals undergo an intake, triage, and assessment process to determine the best care pathway. The team can also liaise with other professionals regarding outpatients with eating disorders in SVHNS, including local GPs. This may include consultation on cases and delivery of eating disorder training.
