This is a confidential mental health telephone triage service that provides the first point of contact to public mental health services to Queenslanders. 1300 MH CALL is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will link to the caller’s nearest Queensland Public Mental Health service.
To access your local Child and Youth Mental Health Service CYMHS provide a number of teams across the Greater Brisbane and Pine Rivers regions. They serve their local communities and outreach across Queensland through specialist programs. While referral usually occurs to your local CYMHS service, there is a specialist Eating Disorders Program (CYMHS EDP) available on (07) 3397 9077

If there is concern about a person’s medical and/or psychiatric safety, present to your nearest EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. People who need medical stabilisation should be admitted to acute hospital medical inpatient treatment. Admission for inpatient treatment may be arranged if appropriate via the emergency department.
