Helen Barnett is a born and bred country girl, passionate about bringing eating disorder services to people in the central west of NSW. Raised in Narromine, Helen works out of Orange and Dubbo and also offers Telehealth services across the region. She is trained in non-diet approaches and embraces Health at Every size and weight inclusive care in her everyday dietetic practices. As a Trauma-informed dietitian, Helen aims to provide a sense of safety in her consult room, and work collaboratively with her clients. Helen is also a Certified Intuitive eating Coach and aims to assist clients to work towards a normalised and intuitive relationship with food, exercise and body. Alongside supporting clients with eating disorders, Helen also has a passion for and training in Body Image, as well as the intersection of Gastrointestinal dysfunction and Eating Disorders. She is also a sports dietitian and can assist with athletes recovering from RED-S or under-fuelling.
Helen has also undertaken further training in ACT, CBT-E, IFS and motivational interviewing and utilises these skills when appropriate. Her main dietetic approach is the RAVES model and moving towards intuitive eating approaches.
