PROFILE
Gabby is a certified trained Severe and Enduring Anorexia Nervosa Clinician who is currently undertaking her PhD on the Impact of Medical Trauma in the Severe and Enduring Eating Disorder Population. Gabby offers a person-centred approach and is passionate about working with clients in a respectful, individualised, and holistic manner. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed care principles, and she draws on her clients’ strengths and works with them to explore issues, provide care and support.
She offers counselling and therapy for a variety of clientele, with a special interest in severe and enduring eating disorders. Gabby also has experience in perfectionism, anxiety and complex trauma. She has an integrative therapy approach, and draws upon schema therapy and inner child work, as well as developing self-compassion strategies.
Gabby has lived experience of recovering from a severe and enduring eating disorder and draws upon that experience to help people understand the origins of their eating disorder, the purpose they serve and begin to explore life without eating disorder behaviours.
