Claire Finklestein

Claire Finkelstein is a Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor with a breadth of experience supporting individuals and families across the lifespan and eating disorder diagnostic spectrum. Claire has worked across public and private settings and provided consultation, training, and assistance with policy development to leading private schools and elite sports organisations. Claire co-founded a highly regarded multidisciplinary private practice specialising in eating disorders and body image concerns in Melbourne before commencing her PhD in the emerging area of psychedelic medicine and body image distress. Claire is currently the trial coordinator and lead therapist for emBodIeD, world-first clinical trial investigating psilocybin-assisted therapy for body image disturbance in women with partially recovered anorexia nervosa. Claire’s approach draws upon a range of specialised and evidence-based treatments that keep the unique needs of the client firmly in mind. She strives to connect with warmth, compassion, and a little well-placed humour, with the committed intention to build a strong, safe therapeutic relationship.
