Dr Shu Ong (she/her)

Shu is a research officer at the InsideOut Institute for Eating Disorders, University of Sydney.

She holds a PhD degree from the UQ and a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from the UoW. She obtains a Bachelor of Food Science and Nutrition from the UQ and also a Grad Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management from the UTS. Prior to joining InsideOut Institute, Shu has worked as a lecturer at International Medical University, Malaysia, and also a clinical dietitian in private and public settings.

Her special research interests lie in the area of paediatric nutrition, malnutrition, type 1 diabetes and eating disorders. Shu is currently undertaking a biostatistics course at the University of Sydney to strengthen her research skills.
