About the research trial

The Web and app based Interventions for Reducing Eating Disorders (WIRED) project has developed a 10-week app-based prevention and early intervention program (SEED) targeting eating disorder symptoms in adults.\
\
The SEED intervention is an interactive, personalised, and self-directed participant program includes eight modules. Each module is expected to take approximately one hour per week to complete. The program aims to educate participants about their eating disorder symptoms, including psychoeducation about the cyclical nature and negative consequences of their symptoms. The program aims to assist participants to develop their own personalised strategies and plans to break these cycles and combat their symptoms. Interactive components of the program include brief self-assessments of eating disorder symptoms with personalised results and recommendations, quizzes to assess knowledge and challenge myths, audio-based exercises, space to journal and develop personalised plans and challenges, and weekly progress reports.
