About the research trial

Our research team at the University of New England developed the Care-FIT inventory, a tool to better understand the challenges and strengths caregivers experience during their young person's eating disorder treatment.

We are now pilot testing the Care-FIT with eating disorder clinicians, to better understand what barriers need to be addressed, hidden strengths that can be activated, or additional supports families may need during treatment.

Your input will help refine this tool to improve care and outcomes for families.

Recruitment details

Seeking eating disorder therapists who work with children/adolescents. Clinicians will identify 1-3 caregivers of young people in their service, then complete the clinician-rated Care-FIT inventory and have the caregiver complete the self-report Care-FIT. There is no involvement of the young person. The Care-FIT is available in both emailed PDF and online (Qualtrics) format, as the clinician prefers.
