We are conducting a 6-month study of TikTok use, body image and eating disorder symptoms among young adults with diagnosed eating disorders. We are interested in understanding the degree to which people view and engage with appearance-oriented videos on TikTok. This is important as exposure to such material may increase body dissatisfaction and disordered eating behaviours among young people, particularly those already vulnerable to eating disorders.

Participants must be aged 16 years or older, have a currently diagnosed eating disorder, be fluent in English, live in Australia and regularly use TikTok (minimum 1 month of use).
