About the role
Prof Leah Brennan has a number of eating, weight and body image PhD projects and scholarships available for talented and passionate students. Successful applicants will be part of the productive and supportive Body Image, Eating and Weight Clinical Research Team at La Trobe University.
Potential projects include:
- Diagnosis, assessment and treatment of eating disorders in individuals who are not underweight and/or with chronic disease (e.g., PCOS, T2D, NAFL)
- Evaluating novel and ‘real-world’ interventions for eating disorders
- Psychology private practice as a resource for eating, weight and body image research
- Psychological impacts of weight loss/lifestyle interventions (e.g., diets, bariatric surgery, medication)
- Biopsychosocial impact of weight inclusive lifestyle interventions (e.g., Health at Every Size, Eating Competence, Intuitive Eating)
PhD applications are accepted anytime.
Scholarship applications are due 30 April 2023 for start between 1 July 2023 and 30 November 2023.
