The Eating Disorder Coordinator in your local health district provides clinical consultation and support to health professionals and teams treating people with eating disorders. This service is only available for health professionals.
Dawn Carnevale is the local eating disorder coordinator for the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN).
I’ve been a registered nurse since 2003, I completed by training at Coventry University in England and moved to Australia in 2007. I’ve been working in SCHN since 2008, initially in the Emergency Department before moving to the adolescent ward in 2017. Since then I have been involved in caring for eating disorder patients as both an RN on the floor and as Nurse Unit Manager overseeing the ward and now as an Eating disorder CNC and Co-ordinator with the Network. I’m passionate about supporting patients and their families as well as improving services and outcomes for them.
