The Eating Disorder Coordinator in your local health district provides clinical consultation and support to health professionals and teams treating people with eating disorders. This service is only available for health professionals.

Karla Moses is the local eating disorder coordinator for the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD), along with Monique Perkins.

Karla is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who is passionate about improving and advocating for the best possible, evidenced based treatment and recovery pathways across the continuum of care for people experiencing eating disorders within her region. She has been working within mental health and specifically in eating disorders for several years, and consequently is aware of how difficult it can be for people and their families/support networks to access appropriate and timely treatment. She hopes that by adapting a person centred, collaborative, and curious approach to her role that she can break down some of the barriers to treatment that exist, build capacity, knowledge, and skills among the workforce, develop more effective treatment pathways across the SNSWLHD, and transcend every person’s experience within the health care system along the way.
