InsideOut's director Associate Professor Sarah speaks to the Daily Telegraph about the new national eating disorder research centre, to be led by InsideOut Institute and federally-funded with a four-year, $13 million grant.

InsideOut Institute, a partnership between the University of Sydney and Sydney Local Health District, will lead a national consortium of partners to develop the Centre and implement the Australian Eating Disorders Research & Translation Strategy.

Assoc. Professor Maguire said the new centre aimed to increase the amount of studies, number of people working in the field and forge new teams to drive innovative research after decades without any major advances.

“We need to innovate and get some major breakthroughs in effective treatments within the next few years,” Assoc. Professor Maguire said.
