An opportunity exists for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to work 20 hours a week in the Eating Disorders Outpatient Service at CCLHD. This is a permanent part-time position.

The service team is multi-disciplinary and includes another Clinical Psychologist, two Dietitians , a Social Worker, a GP/Inpatient Liaison Nurse and is supported by a Manager, and an Administrative Assistant.

The Eating Disorders Outpatient Service

The Eating Disorders Outpatient Service (EDOS) provides specialised assessment and treatment for people with an eating disorder . We provide Single Session Interventions, Family Based Therapy, a Multi-disciplinary CBT-E treatment model and a transdiagnostic CBT-E group with meal support.

The Clinical Psychologist Role:

  • To provide clinical psychological services to people and their families referred to the Eating
  • Disorders Outpatient Service (EDOS) with regards to the clients disordered eating symptoms
  • through the use of CBT-E and FBT.
  • To work alongside other staff in the Eating Disorder Outpatient Service (EDOS) to increase
  • access to treatment for people on the Central Coast with an eating disorder.
  • To continue to develop the EDOS.
  • To conduct and participate in research and quality activities regarding the EDOS.

The 20 hours for the Clinical Psychologist are spread Wednesday (8 hours) and Thursday (8 hours) with the remainder 4 hours either Monday/Tuesday/Friday.
